About

Meadowline is a 140-acre farm on the edge of Rhinebeck that has hosted weddings since 2014. The barn seats 180 for dinner with room to dance; the ceremony meadow looks west over the Catskills, which is where most couples end up for photos around seven in the evening. The farmhouse and the two cottages sleep forty, so the people you most want nearby can stay on the property from Friday to Sunday.

We host one wedding a weekend. That is on purpose. The whole team is yours from the rehearsal dinner through the farewell brunch, and nobody is turning the room over for the next couple.

Why couples choose Meadowline Farm

Couples tell us it felt like getting married at a friend's farm, if the friend happened to have a very good kitchen and a barn with real acoustics. We do the unglamorous parts well: the parking plan, the rain plan, the shuttle timing, where the band loads in.

In their own words.

A few questions for Meadowline Farm

What sets you apart?
One wedding a weekend, and the same four people running it from the first walkthrough to the last shuttle. There is no handoff. Whoever you planned it with is the one standing next to you when the doors open.
Why do you love weddings?
Because it is the one day everybody a couple loves is in the same field at the same time. We get to build the room that happens in, and then we get to watch.
Your favorite moment of a wedding day?
The ten minutes after the ceremony, before cocktail hour has really started, when the couple walks back down through the meadow on their own. We keep everyone else up at the barn so they get that walk.
One wedding you'll never forget?
A September wedding where the power went out across the whole road at nine. The band went acoustic, the kitchen finished dinner on the wood stove, and the couple said afterward it was the best hour of the night. We bought a generator the next week anyway.

What couples have said

  • We spent the whole weekend there and it never once felt like a venue. It felt like ours.
  • The rain plan was better than our sun plan. Nobody but us knew it had changed.
  • Our parents are still talking about the brunch.
